Welcome to Edge Group Mail Quick Start Tips:

1. To start a mailing project you will need a letter which you can create in the memo window as you would any email or document.
1a. Toggle between the Design Tab and the HTML Tab for best effects & to view any updates you make. A change that you make in the HTML Tab will immediately show up in the Design window-view.
2. Create an addresses file which you can import or create in the Address Book.
2a. To import an existing address book or a text file with lists of email addresses select Address Book Icon then the Menu-> File-> Import.
2b. Save your email address lists by exporting them for use in any other applications. Select Address Book Icon then the Menu-> File-> Export.
3. Groups can be set up easily to manage each of your varied project lists and addresses. By grouping addresses together you can select one or more groups to send any mail item.
4. Create accounts using the Accounts Icon or Menu-> Tools-> Accounts. This feature enables multiple projects to be sent from different Senders & Sender accounts. These accounts will each include From: To: and Sent From: with associated account data for each account.
5. Once you have your mail set to go and an address list created you can Click on the word “Group” or use the pull-down arrows to access existing lists.
5a. Select your Groups and Send.
6. Save your eMail draft for future use by the Menu-> File-> Save at the top of your mail or newsletter message.

Database Import

Email addresses are automatically imported from your external database into the selected group in your address book.

Exclusion List
Set up unlimited exclusion email entries.
Associate an exclusion entry with a specific group from your address book.
Associate an exclusion entry with all groups.
Entries in this journal are automatically excluded from your mailings.

Mailer Settings
Default settings are set for you, or you can customize your settings.
Adjust # of concurrent threads to optimize the performance of the mailer on your machine.
Adjustable character set and code page to support any language settings.
Save log activity to a local file or to your email.
Progress Monitor - Sending Emails
Track the status of each outgoing email.
Get instant verification for sending an email or receive an error response.
Pause, Resume and Abort options.
Force "clear sending queue"
